Please! There wasn't even an Internet when I started messing around with old Hondas. First one was a '65 Black Bomber if that helps.

Got my first 750 in 1979, it was a black K1 with a venolia 850 kit, had around 20 750's since. Joined this forum while chasing parts for my current bikes, which are still in pieces as the herd once again starts to grow..... :o ;D

I rode a Honda 50 and Trail 90 when I was a kid back in 1971 .  Got the itch to start riding again in 2009 so I picked up a '71 CL350, and then a '76 CL360 shortly thereafter.  I soon found that I would have to learn how to work on them  if I wanted it to be an affordable hobby, so I found the Twins and SOHC forums.  I picked up a '77 550K  in Sept of 2009 and stumbled upon a '78 750K in 2011 (thanks to Scott aka Frankencake - No Scott, I don't want to sell it for $300).  Been having a blast ever since.  Great Bike, Great People, Great Forum.  :)

I love those street scramblers mate, they might not have been great off-road, but they looked cool! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Was looking for a bike after being out of riding for 10 or so years.  After doing some research, I decided on a 550 for the looks, size, and ability to wrench on it myself.  At that point I had been lurking for a bit, so I took the plunge and joined the forum assuming I'd have an SOHC eventually and figured I may as well read up on them and start learning about them.  Got my bike this past summer - 1976 CB550K.   So forum first, bike second.   Even w/o a bike, though, the forum is a great place; people were extremely helpful in guiding my search, I was continually picking up bits of knowledge for future use, not to mention the fun of watching oil thread fireworks go up every so often  :D.   While I don't post much, I peruse often and feel like part of a community in which being a member is worthwhile.  At some point, once I have some time w/the bike under my belt, I hope to contribute to the forum to keep the cycle going (pun intended).  Best wishes and safe riding for the New Year!  Cheers, Gman
