Chicago newb
« on: December 24, 2011, 01:32:08 PM »
Hello,

New to the forum. I'm from Lockport Illinois about a half hour southwest of Chicago. Im pretty active on some local car forums so some of you may recognize the name. Just picked up a 74 CB750 for a project, planning on making it into a cafe/cruiser and generally screwing around. Not my first bike but this will be my biggest project bike. I am a dyed in the wool Honda fan from my first bike at 14. Started out with a 68 S90, then a 88 NX125, bought a new 01 Shadow 1100 when I was in college. My poor shadow ended up on the back of a wrecker thanks to a lady in a cage deciding that lane markers and turn signals are just suggestions. I was bikeless for a little bit aside from a 1970 Trail 70 I got a few years back. Just traded some snowmobiles for the CB last week. I have wanted one of these bikes for quite a while and Im eager to get going. Nice looking site here and I look forward to getting some good information to assist with my project. Anyway, here are some pics of my rides past and present.

Merry Christmas. Looks like a great bike to start with. Dual discs up front! Surely has some history.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!
