I was talking about finned 750/5000 caliper, not sure on the smooth ones....if too damaged you can run Banjo or tap to NPT...not for stock line though..

The flares do come out.  Some easier than others.  Here's a pic of one sitting on my bench.

Use a magnet to see if the seat is steel; if it's steel, it can come out. Why do you think it needs repair or replacement? Does it leak?
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Happy New Year Scottly,
I just checked it w/ a magnet & yes it is steel;I want to repair it or replace it and make it cone shaped again.I bought it from a guy who put the wrong(too small double flare)metal flare pipe end into it & overtightened it a bit & it does leak just a little;is there a replacement part available for my caliper ?

I have removed the seat by screwing a sheet metal screw into the seat, then carefully prying it straight up out of the caliper.

Just remachine it on a lathe.. if you cant get it with the nail, tap it instead of using the screw.. then use a nut and washer to draw it out...

I will first do my best to carefully try to do a bit of lapping it in w/ valve grinding compound as 72500John has first suggested;I want to ask if the correct size metal tubing is commercially available...? can I use automotive brake line? or does it have to be specifically for this from Honda ? It looks to me that a wider flare than what was in there is definitely a good idea.
