My Xmas present rocks!

Although I'm not quite sure how Mummy Santa Claus got it down the chimney!
Oh and I'm really really hoping Jaffa learns to use the camera properly so she doesn't activate the "fat guts" mode again! ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

First day out on the bike with Jaffa on the back, she found it not too uncomfortable as the S83 comes with a bad rep for seating hence all the aftermarket seats available for these bikes.
I'm still getting to grips with the forward controls and that massively grabby hydrolic clutch.
No doubt it is just time and practice, the first time I rode it I brought it home and put it in the shed and left it there for a week wondering just what the Hell I had brought! ;D
Then I reasoned that it's just another bike and I've had many of those, I'm certainly not opening her up to her full potential, so far 160k is as far as I let myself get to. ;)
At some stage I have to master this beastie as now my fast riding mates are making noises about North Island circuits and even going down South in 2012.
The major difference in the cruiser apart from the forward controls is the angle of the head stem, it makes the steering extremely light and disconnected from the rider. Guess that's just something else Hush will have to learn to use. :D

Hey nice bike Hushy, but who's the old bloke sitting on it, your dad? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Actually Terry if Pop was still alive he would insist on a ride as he was a dispatch rider on Harley's and Indians during WW2. ;D

Ha ha, no worries Hushy, my dad wasn't a biker, well, he did have an "Autobike". Both my Grandfathers were bikers though, I've got pics of my paternal grandfather on his shiny new Indian Power Plus just after he got back from WW1, and my maternal Grandfather was a Panther man. The madness might have skipped a generation, but it's alive and well with me! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Nice bike Hush, you better hold onto that girl.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?
