Zinc Plater Recommendation
« on: December 28, 2011, 04:23:07 PM »
I’m looking for recommendations for zinc plating.   Recently while reading a thread on this site someone made a recommendation for a guy in Texas but after the 1st email I get no further response.  I am looking for someone that will re-plate most if not all the original bolts and miscellaneous parts for my 1970 KO.  I’m a little scared to send all this off so I am hoping to find someone reputable.
I have used Brows Plating in the past for my chrome work but they are great but expensive and charge $9 to rechrome a bolt and I’m not sure if they do zinc plating.  From what I read, some zinc platters charge by the pound.  Anyone know of any companies that do this?

was going to sugest stainless bolts but looks like you have a classic bike you want to keep that way/stock. i can appritiate that. did a little youtube searching/google and found a few sites. do some searching and you may find what you need. cad plating on bolts is alot more resilliant and maynot be more bucks?
