Any Mazda techs? Catalyst monitor problem...

2001 Mazda MPV. Won't run catalyst monitor or egr monitor, and fails OBD test. Anyone have any words of wisdom concerning drive cycle? All other monitors run and complete and no codes are stored. Any insight is appreciated...

What is your normal driving routine? Those monitors are based on  if X and Y meet operating temp, road speed is Z , then run the test. sometimes you need to take it on the highway and give it a good thrashing. The other thing is you bought a mazda mpv ;D, I've never heard that complaint from any honda owners ;D. my personal accord has 230k miles and many more to give all original. Good luck to you.

Not my vehicle, one at my job. Pretty much have driven it till it's tongue
is hangin out, and to no avail. Have done the drive cycle numerous times
and checked and checked for codes/met parameters. Seems like there as many different drive cycle techniques as there are guys working on them. And yeah, I wish it was a Honda. Toyota would be ok too.
