Light panel question
« on: December 29, 2011, 08:17:53 am »
Ive just finished my turning signal system. Ive used led blinkers and a new relay.

The thing i cant figure out is how to get the turning signal "sign" lamp in the instrument to flash at the same time.

If i connect it to the original connectors from the handle all four signals flash at the same time because the lamp acts as a cable to connect them all.. If i take one cable from the instrument lamp to the switch from the handle and then to ground it starts flashing but ofcourse only in one of the directions.

Cant really figure this out.

My system is like this except the indicator lights: http://constructionmanuals.tpub.com/14273/img/14273_79_2.jpg
And if i connect it like this it doesnt work: http://data.sohc4.net/WD750/CB750_K3-K7_WD.jpg

Diodes. They act like check valves -- electricity can flow in one direction but not the other.

Yep, diodes.  Check out post number #39 in my build thread: http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=70938.25

Just plugged them inline inside the headlight bucket, no problems.  $2 at radio shack for a pack of rectifier type, 3 amp, 50 PIV diodes.

on the kabels to kontrol light
or breake the old lights and use the bottom and veld" led" to the bottom

hilsen lars larsen danmark
du kan også bare montere dioden på ledningen i lygten,,som går op til pæren i panelet...hvad vej dioden skal venne kan du prøve dig frem

Got it sorted out! Led lamp did not work. In only flashed in one direction then! But i connected the two cables from the signals, put some diods on there so all the signals wouldnt flash at once. Then i plugged that wire to the instrument light and grounded the other! Fixed! (: thanks for the help!
