I was referring to the human verification system. It's the little red box that shows up and asks you to type in the "security words" it shows. It also asks what seemed to be 1 of 3 possible questions (Where were Hondas made, Who made the SOHC 4 and also What year is it?) I guess it's only used for new users. I believe it had disappeared after my 10th-or-so post. I was seeing it every time that I tried to reply, when I sent a PM and also when started this thread. It was everywhere! I'm glad it's over now. But for new users, or however the program is implemented, it could be irritating and discouraging. I know it caused me to let out a few bellows.

Yea Joining was really hard for me too but i didn't have it as bad as you seem to.

Ha! I'm easily frustrated when I'm on the computer because I'm using dial-up if you can believe that. Everything seems to be working great now that I don't have to deal with the verification system.

The spammers  forced that to happen.  The verification system started prolly about 6 months ago.  So far it has worked very well.  The mods were forced to do it this way.

Now that you are passed that, the only trouble you will have is seeing all the hi-res images that are posted.  There are tons of them.  So, you might consider upgrading to a high-speed Internet if possible.

Wretched spammers. The hi-res images are a problem. There's so many good informational threads containing them along with the countless number of projects, bike of the month/year and a whole lot more. I use Chrome for a browser and can easily switch back and forth between showing pictures and not, but I can't bring myself to turn it off for this site... I have a few DSL options but there's no cable out in the country where I currently live and I'm not paying for a DSL contract cause I wont be in this locale very much longer *fingers crossed*.. I've learned quite a bit here already, so I've had more enjoyable moments than ones similar to the "red box of (t)error". I had a couple nice welcomes and I've only seen one pissing contest so far in all the threads I've read. It's a very nice place with what seems to be even nicer people!
