Ok, so whenever I ride my Harley, law enforcement pretty much ignores me. Not so when I am on my cafe'd K7, even when obeying by all the rules, I get lots of suspicious looks from them. Or am I just paranoid

They're probably just interested in your bike, and your paranoid ass thinks they're scoping you out for illegal activity.

Always guilty, just picked up a ticket doing 58 in a 40 zone, 1 minute after doing 105 in a 55 zone :-)

I have the same problem. Whenever I ride my 2300cc Triumph Rocket III the cops are interested, but not in a negative way, but if they see me on my 160cc motorised bicycle, they give me the stink eye!

 The looks i get from cops when i roll up next to them is funny.    The sound of the turbo bike rumbling, the high pipes and the a.r.d. magneto really throws the young cops.

You guys are too much.  I get stopped all the time by the police, whenever I am on one of my bikes.  They are all Vintage Hondas.  The last time I was stopped a cop wanted to take a picture of my Benly and then he asked me if he could ride it!  My response to that was if he would let me drive his police car.   What it is, that a lot of police officers ride, and they only know the new bikes not the old ones.  So when they see a guy on a old bike it always attracts a lot of attention.

Ha ha, well 40's not bad, and 50 is great, but I really worry about the rear wheel flying apart in a corner, so I'm looking for a stronger rear wheel. I've also seen a jackshaft kit that allows you to use the bicycles gears, guys are apparently getting 40MPH with only one engine, so it'll be interesting to see how fast mine will go with gears. Then of course if you want to go really fast there are expansion chambers, better carbs, nitrous kits, you name it! Cheers, Terry.

I was going to the library one evening... and a cop followed me for 3 blocks. I parked and was locking up when I saw him roll around the block again.
He slowed in the intersection and rolled down his window as i was saying to myself "here we go...."
He simply smiles and says "hey man is that a 350f? like a 73 or something... I had that bike when i was a kid and loved it..."

I guess that's the price you pay when you cafe your bike. It looks like a crotch rocket and cops get suspicious, leave it original and you are good....

i often stop and strike up some conversation with the cops while in on the bike so they recognize me and roll thier eyes if im pushing the speed limit... cops always have that look on their faces

That's the kind of thing I get here, a lot. I know almost all the county 2-wheeler cops from it!
