Recently aquired '70 CB750
« on: February 24, 2015, 10:45:23 AM »
Just thought I'd share a couple of photos of my recently acquired 1970 CB750. Production date January 1970. 31K on the engine. Runs/drives well, but needs total restoration, which is currently in progress. Overall condition fair, with all nuts/bolts needing to be replaced/replated, new fork tubes needed, along with wiring harness, carb cleaning, instrument faces, frame/frame components painting. Fork lowers have been chromed, as are the 2 LH engine covers, fork "ears", caliper/caliper bracket: These will be stripped and painted/polished as per factory OEM.

Has mostly correct parts for this year, including "wrinkle" tank, instruments, mirrors, shocks, chain guard, seat, rims, handlebar,  2 of the 4 exhaust pipes, and more.

Lots of work to do!

That is a good looking bike.  At least you have one arm and one leg left.

The only history I have on the bike is that I  purchased it from a fellow here in Georgia who specializes in restoring old Honda's, esp. the CB750's. He sold this one to me to raise cash for restoring a sandcast CB750.
