What year triple trees? on the 77/78 there are 2 extra holes that can be used for old style mounts like Indian or HD used 80 years back. Have seen woreout lower legs trimmed down and the big brake mount used to hold light... connecting rods work... all kinds of stuff. Want custom made , IK may be able to help..

Luap already pointed your toward MikesXS.  They sell a nice set of solid aluminum ears that I've used on a number of projects, part #09-0016.
Take care,
David

Saw these http://www.mikesxs.net/product/09-0020.html in a partsunlimited (or partsnmore, I can't remember) catalog. From what someone told me, those won't fit out 35mm forks, but one of the sites that sells these has them for 35mm forks. I'll try finding it again.

Unless you really want to go with custom, I wouldn't give up on used ones from fleaBayor elsewhere.

I got a pair for my 450, didn't need them, but lots better than what i got on mine. They're factory straight, have darn good chrome and were $20 with reasonable shipping.

The problem with the stock ears is that they don't allow for clip-ons.

Hey I have been in a good mood. Luck and karma has been on my side. On my 550K 78 I have bought some OEM chrome ears and not in need of the universal ears. Pay for shipping and you can have them for free. You are able to use clip ons with them if that the route you going. PM if interested.

Its a 73 cb750.I have a good idea today.Bicycle seat post clamps come in 35mm,and there is a lot of nice ones to choose from, cheap too.I am going to look for 4 nice ones in alluminum, add a couple of brackets(I have a lot of nice stainless and allum at work)and for abou 20-30 bucks I amy have something comparable to custom ones that  are in the 100 dollar range.Pics to follow.

I am not sure. I bought them off a member here when I first joined the site. I think they are like 30 bucks on ebay.... Universals for sure. I'd give them to you but Demitri already claimed them. I do have a set of 78 chrome ones that are oem but I would sell those as i paid a good amount. If interested PM me

They're $15. Can't remember if they're in the partsunlimited or partsnmore catalog, but your local dealer/parts shop can get you a set no problem.
