Harley days!
« on: January 01, 2012, 12:48:58 PM »
I love looking through old pictures, you just never know what you might find. Was hoping to find some old pictures of my 74 CB360 and my 76 CB550, but no luck. I did find these 2 pics of me on my 97 Wide Glide and couple of my buddies in Myrtle Beach, SC around 1999 or 2000. I still have the Harley, but doesn't get rode nearly as much now since I have to 2 CB750's ::)

I know Harleys can cause a sore spot for people for some reason, but who else here were into Harleys before your SOHC4 Honda's? Any pictures you have and can post would be great ;D

Very nice mate, and I like the rolled up T Shirt sleeve look, very cool! It must a shame seeing that hog languishing in your garage though mate, best you send it over the pond for winter, and I'll look after it for you! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I just took my sisters Harley out for a ride yesterday(yes my sister) it looks like the same as yours.I don't know much about the different models of Harleys.I don't really care for it,don't like the riding position and had to have ear plugs even with fullcoverage helmet.

6adan, Couldn't be two bikes more different than my Wide glide and my CB750's. I like riding them both though. My Harley has Vance and Hines pipes with baffles still in them and its not loud just gives it a good sound ;D I also have a little beefier cam that gives it that nice thumping sound ;)

I had some Harley days myself but I managed to get over that problem.

Owning my Harley hasn't been a problem, but a pleasure ;D it's been a great bike. But I have to admit my two CB750's are my favorite right now ;) Like you old picture. Did you make that in your backyard out of spare parts? Is that Corvette in the background yours. What year is that 73 or 74 maybe?

The bike had been an Oak Park (Chicago) police parking ticket vehicle.
It's a '55 Harley Servicecycle.
Got it for $125.
I flipped it one evening out on Ogden Avenue.
Not the most stable machine at speed in combination with Bud.
My neighbors Corvette must be earlier than '73 because I think the picture was '71

That 55 is super cool.I was raised around Harley's my whole life and still have soft spot for them.particularly early knuckle, and iron head sportsters.
