Honda Shop NAKANOYA, located near Fukuoka, Japan
« on: February 19, 2012, 08:29:31 PM »
NAKANOYA is a big name in the UJM restoration business. I knew of Mr. Nakano mainly because his metalworking skills were featured in a Z-1/Z-2 specific magazine. Needless to say, he is HUGE in the Honda SOHC world here in Japan.

Lots of pix, so rather than posting them all here, I'll post a link to my Photobucket album and post some teasers here.

The man himself

I thought it was a part number.   :-[
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

You are right, it is indeed a Yamaha, not a prototype CB750. Looking more carefully I could see the "Yamaha" logo engraved in the clutch cover.

I am not a religious man but thank god that shop and all the treasure inside survived the tsunami and earthquake! Thanks for the pics. Keep them coming.

they're neat bikes but they got kind of a bad rap and now they don't get much attention. I always liked the way they look.

Quite interesting.  He also has the original 1969 Kawasaki 500 H1 Mach III (white tank with blue racing stripe ) and a 1970 model (red tank with racing stripe). There was a charcoal grey one stuck in between these two models .. sort of a 70 1/2.  Three of my friends each had one of the three models. I remember the first time I came up beside the white 500 with my CB 450 ... a tad difference in acceleration  :o
