New Reply's to Old Treads
« on: May 23, 2006, 01:27:39 PM »
Do may of you guys reply to old threads? Being new in here I'm trying to find out as much as I can about this forum. Not only where it's at now but where it's been. I've been digging around in old threads looking for interesting topics and found one called "Why SOHC4s" started on May 25 2005 by Uncle Ernie and a last replied on May 29 2005 by chrometank. I replied not even considering the length of time it had been. What was important to me was the WHY and not the when. I'm just hoping that all the newbies like myself take the time to read some of the things said in threads from the past.

At this stage in my life and state of mind, a thread brought back to life after 3 months or more is all new again. ;D

Age induced dementia can be fun  ;D

Usually if it is not more than apparently 3 weeks dead I will respond, but I LIKE to beat a dead horse.  ;D When they catch me I just say that I was swatting flies.  ;D ;)

if you want to reply to an old thread please do so... otherwise, if it is stagnant for quite some time, it might just get deleted.

I would rather see some of the old threads revived and have some of the new ones die!!!!!

Yeah, it's fine to revive old threads. I generally just check the first two pages, so if you want some old thread back just bump into it.

We will not delete old threads if they have useful technical content.

Some of the other stuff may get deleted once it's more than 6 months old (mostly to save space on the server)
