Gear shifter cover - dowel required?
« on: January 02, 2012, 10:17:55 AM »
I am changing the shifter cover on my K2  - currently have a later model cover on there (with gear shifter indicator) to a chrome earlier type cover (no gear shift indicator). The earlier cover does not have the 2 dowels seen in the photo below - any idea what these actually do and are they required? Can I simply pull them out of the later cover and put them in the new cover?

dowel in foreground and at rear..

dowels at 7 and 12 o`clock

thanks
Andy
