USA trip

Hi Guys,

New to the forum.
I am in Australia, but intend going to the USA in June to buy some bikes for a small business venture I intend to set up.
I will be looking for 2 x 750/4s 2x Z1s an XS650, and a GT750.
Plus 2 others from the same era.
All need to be iriginal, with the correct owners paperwork, but dont need to be museum quality.

Any advice on a good bike hauling company or the best states to start out in?
I need to get them all together somewhere & consolidate them into a container.

Welcome to the forum Mark!

An interesting project you are planning there.  Not sure how well US spec bikes will import into Australia tho.  These bikes are built to be ridden on the RIGHT side of the road!  ;D

I would suggest you scan Craigslist and see where you find the most listings. The US is as large as Australia, so unless you want to see the USA at the same time, the travel can be expensive.
Obviously the comment about left and right driving was tongue in cheek. I do understand there is some difference in the headlight orientation.

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Sounds like a fun trip!  The Midwest seems to have the best deals on the Hondas.
Be prepared to pay for the Z1's, they are fetching high prices compared to the 750's.

I know of a couple haulers that can bring the bikes to a central location where your container will be.

Depending on how deep your pockets are, this whole scenario is doable.

As far as shipping, try the horizonsunlimited.com (The HUBB) website. There's a lot of info there on shipping bikes from port or by air. Since you're in Australia, starting on the west coast of the US would probably be the easiest and cheapest.
