76 CB750F She Lives Again
« on: January 07, 2012, 10:48:41 AM »
Well I have been lurking on these boards for a few years.  After having bike pulled apart for two years I gave her a go this morning and she fired right up.    :P I was shocked that she started up so easily.  This my first build so it was a huge learning experience. I did all the work so its not perfect but deffinetly proud of what I accomplished. Appreciate all the help and tips you guys provided.  Here is a short video.  Still have some work to go but should not be too much longer (Brakes need to be worked on and need to tweak the carbs a bit for idle).  When I got the bike it had been sitting in a ladies barn and basement for about 15 years. Her son had passed away and she was just hanging on to it.

I took a ton of pictures of the build so I'll post those later but here a video of the start up.

Howdy! :)

Yeah, there's nothing quite like pushing that button for the for first time after a rebuild and hearing everything work right!
What a great feeling! Good job!

"Daddy, when are you going to ride it?"  Ha!  My 4 year old said the same thing to me today.  Only, my bike is in pieces.

Sounds good!  What exhaust is that?

Appreciate it.

cmonStart - I bought that exhaust can from Johnny5 over in the services offered section.  He was good to work with and it is made well.
