I painted the engine cases today.  It took quite a long time to get everything grease and oil free!  What a pain in the rear!

My frame and swing arm are painted - finally!  I have to get both wheels back on and I'll finally have a place to start bolting things back onto.

What paint did you use for the frame? Primer ?
Did you use the same type of paint on the engine ?

I used Duplicolor automotive paint and primer from the local auto store - spray cans.  The engine is Duplicolor engine/exhaust enamel. 

Greggo:  I did use re-use the old hardware, which I cleaned up on a wire wheel to make it look better.  I may or may not replace them with stainless hardware later.

Gotta say that stainless allen heads rock! 3 ways to go about them. Right out of the box (big improvement) , tumbled in a tumbler to give them medium shine (even better with the black) or smoothed off and polished to a chrome like shine (FN killer! It'll make that black really pop) When I polished mine some were already smooth and some had the little ridges and/or markings on the top. I put each one in my hand held drill and turned them against the grinding wheel on my bench top grinder &/or against a sheet of sand paper, etc. MUCH easier and safer using the drill method and it gives a consistent roundness. Then I did the same thing with my drill against the polishing wheel.

Hi Folks,

This is my first post here. I have a 78 cb750F with a messed up rear caliper (i haven't yet gotten the piston out of it!). I'm wondering if any other Honda caliper (or other) would bolt on using the stock mount...will the 81 caliper work? Any ideas are appreciated.
If I can figure out how to post a picture I will later...
