Hello ekpent. Nice K1! She looks very nice. Yessir, sanded and did some prep and reshot the swingarm and frame yesterday. Plans for the bodywork is taking it back to original with new sidecovers, emblems, tank badge(got for xmas), tank trim. The seat on there now is not in horrible shape, but the trim on the right side is banged up from the mashing up against the rear shock bolt....not sure if there is suppose to be a stop for that, but anytime you open the seat it mashes the trim.
I'm doing it more stock than not for sure. My 300s are in great shape, no holes...so cleaning those up and using those. Tossing colors around and leaning more brown lately, but that will be last thing I do. I'm new to carbs and this bike, so I have alot to learn during this, but will be good...I want to know my bike as I never plan on getting rid of her. Yessir, she does have low mile:) Spoke with Mark, he was saying they don't really break in until 8-9k. She sat for awhile so she has slow oil leaks, but not addressing it rt now. When i do the engine, i think i might epoxy paint or powder coat the frame and swing arm then:)
So far non-stock plans are:
>superbike bars...i have long ape arms;)
>maybe just one side mirror
>maybe a fantasy dark metallic brown paint...if not garnett brown
>have a spare front fender from Flick...will try on a front cut fender...see if I like it, if not put my original back on
