Primary Drive O-Ring chain Anyone tried it ?
« on: January 07, 2012, 09:30:16 AM »
Just looked at one.. It has windows in the inner sideplates .. :o

Lower priced chain, tensile strength is around 7850..
Should be lighter with the cutouts, hope it sorta holds up..

Anyone tried this chain on a 750 that is run hard ?

Inertia, particulrly at high rpm.
Slotted side plate without 'O' rings could be a plan (if I had a 750 instead of a 550  ;D)

Primary drive is the brandname, and its rear chain.
Not an O-ring fan up till now but have been trying it of late, I just grabbed this as I need to do an extended swingarm, plus have one on my other bike.
It is 520 X 120 links.. so long enough, and I will thin a set of sprockets..

Not really wanting to discuss pros/cons..rather wanting to see if anyone tried the brand..

Jezz 754 you had me scratching my head, just for a minute. ;) Like some others I was thinking the internal drive primary chain lol. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Ha ha, what a gip. Hey while we're all here, anyone tried the new oil cooled sparkplugs? They're a brand of tire, not actual sparkplugs, just so you know...............  ::)  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I thought it may be a popular brand a guy in town bought it online from a US firm and shipped it up here but wrong for his bike.
I searched online,  saw bad reviews for non o-ring, but better for o-ring.. but some of it was from dirt forums.. the holey sideplates look sorta cool but sorta fragile..
