winter projects
« on: January 09, 2012, 08:40:04 AM »
pulled my bike out of the garage after sitting for 2 months, figure I should start it up and let it run a lil bit.Went through my usual pre start ritual, pull the choke, give a Lil tiny bit o throttle(or turn up the idle a bit)Kick it a few times with it off then with lights turned off, fire it up.It always fires right up.I love my bike. ;D,sure a few pops here and there until warm, but when warm I am always pleasantly reminded why we love these bikes so much. One thing I did notice was wooden front brake, nothing there,So I am getting a drilled front disc(right RR) anyway so I have to figure out why my brake isnt working. It has new stainless line,CB600R master cylinder with brake switch on the lever(nice),rebuilt the caliper only 2.5 yrs ago. ???Still debating on selling my fairing, hmm?

someone will be happy to snap up the windscreen as it not the typical Windjammer
After 2.5 years it wouldn't be unusual to have to bleed and check out the caliper

I pulled off the front end since I got new forks coming along with a drilled rotor and I wanted to check on the washer/spacer height on my all balls roller bearings on the triple.Pulled out the steering lock as it hadnt worked in years. All it needed was a good cleaning and lube.Cleaned up my front wheel while I was at it.Now all I need to finish up the front are some nice headlight ears,I hate the cheapo emgo's I have and the originals are toast.Any suggestions??
