Triple tree swap
« on: January 10, 2012, 03:31:14 PM »
Im working with a 75'cb550.  I like the look of the straight install of the bars into the top tree instead of the origional "clamp on loops."  Is there a company that makes something like this, or a possible other bike swap..?

Or maybe could I possibly do this myself with a little grinding and welding.. Has anyone done this before?

Matt

here a pic of the direct install top tree I am looking for.. I found the pic online

Joker machine make clamps that facilitate a similar set up, you would probably have to have bars made to suit. They are a bit spendy, but they are nice...

I think the stock clamps would not be strong enough to do something similar...

Cycle X have clamps as well that could suit and are cheaper....

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.
