Topic: Tank issues...??

Hey guys I am building a 1975 cb550, leaning towards a "bobber-like" style.  I ran into an issue where my tank that I am "now using" 1948 BSA bantam 2 gal, does not fit over the Distributor/coils  like the stock tank does.  I want to avoid doin the sheetmetal work on the inside belly of this tank, so my idea is a relocation of these coils with an extention of my plug wires.  Is this even possible, or will it loose power do to the extention..? I havent done anything yet, and wish I could post pics but I am using a buddies computer at the moment.  If this is able to be done, I am looking at relocating it were the stock air box use to be.  Anything would help thanks! ::

why don't you just move it down  to the bottom of the triangle frame it sits in it will be close to the heads and not too obvious you will need to make a couple of pieces to hang it off of
