« on: January 12, 2012, 08:09:11 AM »
I have been in touch with a good machinist who loves sohc4's and will be signing up as a member soon.He is selling pairs of bronze swing arm bushings made from SAE 660-C93200 which, from what I hear is very good material; He's getting $39.95 + shipping for the pair & his name is Bob :).

Maybe someone with more knowledge can comment, but I looked it up and saw this note:

"C93200 is suitable for bearings, bushings having medium loads and speeds with adequate lubrications."

Since we know the lubrication method sucks on the swingarms with the stock lube ports, does this present an issue?

With respect to all... any one-size-fits-all bushings can't be any improvement over any bushing supplier. Problem is thst the s/a 'tube' will be enlarged thru' years of use ( more esp. on the chain side ), so any bushings you buy will not be a snug fit and have a very limited useful life. That's been my exp. anyway. The correct solution is to machine a bushing to fit the 'tube' and pivot pin aka Hondaman's service  ;) :).....

That's a good point Spanner 1;HondaMan's service on the swing arm bushings being made to fit the original tube that wears along with the bushings is a better deal than purchasing that tube along with the new bushings, especially since he gets them to have a brand new slip fit.The tight fit will handle best and new parts are the way to go.I only mentioned it in case someone planned on buying all new parts;I think that these bronze swing arm bushings that Bob is offering are of very good quality.

They will work fine , if they go in slighly undersize, and then be fitted. The proper fitting is a bit of a chore if you are not equipped for the job...

Their the bushings I already used... got 1,000 miles before swingarm was sloppy again on my K1... really would like to try a 'custom' arm/pivot fit next time !
