recommended books/resources for newbies?
« on: January 11, 2012, 08:23:12 PM »
Hey everyone,

Aside from this forum (where I have learned a lot, thanks!), can you share some good resources for a beginner to learn how to get an old cb400f going?  Aside from the obvious haynes manuals or getting hands on help, how else can newbies like myself learn to wrench?

Ha!  Another chance for me to share one of my favorite links.  This guy has a great site on general motorcycle repair.

Howdy! Welcome!

Start with the Honda shop manual available here:
http://honda.centralcluster.com/materiale-documentazione-tecnica/shop-manual
Also get the parts list: http://honda.centralcluster.com/materiale-documentazione-tecnica/parts-list/parts-list-cb400

And then grab the User Manual; http://honda.centralcluster.com/materiale-documentazione-tecnica/libretti-uso-a-manutenzione

Then learn to use the search function and ask lots of questions here at the forum.  :)

Oh yeah, take lots of pictures too!
