GGGRRRRR FED EX!!!!!
« on: May 24, 2006, 09:18:26 PM »
This was the last straw for my self and I wanted to give a heads up to the business owners on here about it. I have ordered many things for delivery out here (I live in the middle of an orchard and my house addy dose not show on any map or GPS.) well Fed ex had blown over night deliveries, medication deliveries, ground standard, ECT. They have shipped from Fresno to Sacramento then back to Fresno because they sent it to the wrong station in town (yup they ship it by truck on a 400 mile trip to get it across town a delay of 3 days)

May 24, 2006   5:57 PM                                                                  Delivery exception       FRESNO, CA

Customer not available or business closed

7:44 AM                                                                                On FedEx vehicle for delivery       FRESNO, CA

Now I sat here all day and you can not come down my raod with out the dogs barking or being seen! NO Fed EX truck drove down here. This is also not the first time they have done this!
So now I get to sit here one more day or have some one sit here and this is after one phone call Monday and three to day and then one more to night after seeing the tracking page!
This is why I am posting this I know I will not order any thing from any one if it is going to be shipped FED EX! I also know I am not the only one out were I live that feels this way (all country out here) FED EX dose not deliver as promised! I was promised a phone call before it got on the truck and to night no matter what I got neither. The 800 number people did nothing by try to pacify me and make promises all day that were never true. So if you want customer service use some one other Then FED EX. If your customer dose not live in a city but out in the country! I know all buying will be based on who the shipper is from now on for my self!!!!!

Ditto. I live in a very small town. My address is clearly posted on my house, on the main drag through town. On one Fed Ex delivery I was fuming because I checked the tracking on the internet and two days in a row it said I was not home, when I was! I called Fed Ex and the guy sounded like he didn't believe me, but when I told him about the old cars in front of the house and he contacted the driver he realized the driver was going to the wrong house! Good thing he didn't leave the package(my Dyna S). Since he did screw up he delivered it that night on his way back. Jimmy

Yep, I've been there. I waited at home all day for them, thought that they might have not rung the doorbell or knocked so I go outside to see if they just left the box by the door and what do I find? A paper on the door that says "recipient not home". RRAAAAHHHH!!!!!

 Up date here
I got the tires today I also found out to day the shipped it two days in a row on the wrong truck. My normal driver had been looking for the package .When he got here he also let me know the driver yesterday never even tried to deliver it. I raised a roof so to speak and what do you know before 10 am there here wonders of all wonders! Also I must give a great big thumbs up to ATM tires fast order placement and they did there part getting them out fast and right. also when told of problem to day in an email with in a hour I got one back stating a full refund on all shipping charges . I was also told they would send next order per my preference in shippers. To me they have gone a 110%. This is customer service as it was meant to be

Here they love to run up to the house, dump down the package first, then ring the bell, and hightail it back to the truck and take off. At least they get it to the front porch where smaller packages can't be seen from the street when noones home. Same with UPS, half the time if a sig is requested they "forget". US postal here is no different. Down goes the package, then the bell rings, and I'm out there maybe waving to the driver as they take off.

were I live i only realy have FEd EX or UPS as the post office dose not come out here so I have to have a post office box . but they will recive any size package for me there sent by the ppost office so I can get it thre o well at lest I got me tires and now can thingk about trying for the run come June

wavin your double barrel maybe...   ;)

hey guys... not gonna slam anyone but, try DHL... i too live in the boonies and have no real address to see from the road or within a foot from my house.  when i was to receive my new computer i called DHL, gave them directions and it was here in no time.  they are a new company but, they seem to be doing things right so far.

Wow, this reminds me of a funny FedEx story...

A few months ago I was working on my bike out in front of my house, crouched on the edge of the street about 30 feet away from my front porch.  A FedEx truck pulled up and stopped right in front of me.  The driver jumped out with a package (it was for me), jogged halfway up my sidewalk, stopped and THREW the package the remaining 15 FEET to the front porch.  He then jogged back to the truck and pulled away, not acknowledging me at all.  I must have sat there for five minutes in complete disbelief.  Now, maybe he was having a bad day or something, but the scary thing was that he looked like he was just merrily doing his job.  When I called to lodge a complaint they said that they'd have to "look into it" since I didn't get his plate number.  Thank goodness for packing peanuts (and the relative toughness of motorcycle parts)!
