The new and improved monstrosity

I FINALLY finished my '82 CB650! Whooo hooo!!!! Here's the finished result of almost 10 months of the trials and tribulations of fixing something only to have something else break. The bike has a new exhaust, new tires, new head and top end gasket kit, new carbs and new bar-end mirrors. I'll show you the progression of the bike from the beginning.
Here's what the bike looked like when I first got it, and before I wrecked it. Maybe that wreck was the best thing that could have happened to the bike....
Here's what the bike looked like last summer before I crossthreaded a spark plug beyond repair (which lead into a major series of repairs and re-repairs after crap wouldn't stop breaking).
And here's what the bike looks like new with all the new gear on it. (I know, the pics are all a little fuzzy... stupid cheap camera!)
Now the last steps before I'm ready to ride full time are a full tune up (tappets, chains and carbs). Oh, I'm so ready...

Looks like push pull from the twist grip, due to the shorter bars.

Yup, I haven't invested the $$ in shorter control cables yet. The clutch is a little stiff from the re-routing and those cables do loop way out there... I haven't played with the throttle cables yet though. I may be able to hide them a little more effectively without buying shorter ones.
