Float height settings
« on: January 12, 2012, 03:08:30 PM »
Just wondering if anyone knows the correct float height settings for a '77 750f?  I'm running the pd41a's.  Any help would be much appreciated.

The PDs on your bike are easy to set up I don't measure the float level on these. I set them up on the bench using the clear tube method. I set them 2mm below bowl gasket never have I had a fuel feed problem low or high.
First pic with clear tube
second is where I tilt if I have to remove bowls and make adj.

I cut the gauge out of Kydex, since I had some on hand.  Anything will do.

Set it for 14-15mm. Books says 14.5+-.5 so 14-15.
I measure from the side of the carb where the seal would press.
