Well,
I got myself another 750, but the cylinders don't quite line up.
One 1988 VFR750F.
I have been looking for one of these for a while as my regular commuter ride, and I picked this one up via eBay because it has only done 42,000km since new. The first owner dropped it in 2002 twice in one day and then garaged it until 2011, the PO bought it covered in dust out of the garage last year - cleaned it up and sold it to me.
The bike is cosmetically tired, the front fairings would need replacing, the blinkers don't match the current fairing fitted (I think it is an '89 fairing), the tacho has been replaced so it has red lettering instead of original white, and there are a few scratches there and there..
But mechanically it is so sweet. The bike was delivered to me today and I took it out around the back streets.
Wow!
So - next steps...
Two new tyres.
Roadworthy Certificate.
Registration.
Ride it!!!!
Later on in life I might restore it with a better fairing set, polish up the frame and make it look for new with a new replacement parts, but for now I am happy to ride it as is.
