Hailing from Boston
« on: January 20, 2012, 10:34:52 AM »
Hello to all,

I've spent a fair amount of time on this site drooling over the bikes that pass through. Over the summer I gave into the temptation and picked up a '77 CB550K with 21K miles. It runs strong (sans a small oil leak from the valve cover) and is a blast to ride. It's my first bike and I wouldn't have it any other way. Along with it, I was given a '78 CB550 that needs restoration. The bike is all there, but it needs some serious attention. I am just going to hang on tight and see where this all takes me.

But, hello to all fellow newbies. I'm very excited to be a part of this community.

Need a better, newer points cover gasket? How about rubber washers for the headlight bucket? Click the link below:

Yea I've been so happy to ride into January. Looks like winter has finally caught up to us. Hopefully I'll have time to reseat my valve cover to stop an oil leak on the 77 and tear into my other project, the 78. Glad to meet a fellow Bostonian!
