Slid open wide ways
« on: January 16, 2012, 11:02:41 PM »
I live right outside Atlanta and ride my 08 Bandit 90% of the time. About the only thing that stops me is ice. It only has 48,000 miles on her since I'm a displaced worker going to school full time - which means I'm broke. I ride in quite a few charity rides throughout the year too.

I picked up a '74 CB750 with a "rebuilt" top end but the rest of the bike is 100% disassembled and has been sitting since '88 or so. I'm gathering parts up right now to put her back together. I plan to either set her up plain to run vintage races or go for that complete "rat rod" retro look.

My favorite roads so far are: Blood Mountain, Wolf Pen Gap, Richard Russell Parkway, Cherahola Shyway, GA180, GA60, TN68, etc......anything with curves. I also ride track days on my Bandit and a GSX-R that I just sold.

Previous bikes that I can remember: '08 Bandit 1250 (ABS), '01 GSX-R600 (Track bike), '76 CB750F, '82 GS750E, IT 175, '80 RM250, '87 KX500, '97 KX250.

Anyways, enough about me and my dry sense of humor - what's going on?

Welcome from the Lowcountry! You have some active members in your area. Im sure they will find you. I know they planned the skyway last fall but didnt quite make it.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!
