OK, I am still available for the relay if someone can hand Godzilla on to me and I have someone to hand on to after my ride. Currently there appears to be  a fairly large gap between Rockhampton and Ayr and as yet I have no one to transfer to. We need more riders. Pat from Ayr.

gday pat,,im afraid this might be where good old aussie post comes in?we know australia is a big place, and just looking at a map dosent do the size justice,,im sure this has been posted reguarding this fact before but i cant find it,,so here it is again.

we also only live around the edges,,the middle has nothing in it!in the early 90s i drove a 78 ford LTD from the gold coast (south of brisbane)to townsville in 16 hours non stop!

G'Day Dave. I bet the 78 LTD was comfortable. I realise that Aust Post will need to be used in the remote regions but I thought that there were enough riders to cover the east coast of Qld. Let's see what happens. The weather might decide things. The wet season is in full swing up here. Pat

Ben are you going to ride a leg? I am in Ayr and if/when the Lizard arrives I can take him to say Innisfail to handover to you. You may have other/better ideas. Pat

Ben, let's wait and see. Someone else may come on board. So, there is a gap between Rocky and Ayr and a huge gap between Cairns and Darwin! Pat

If I had some more free time on my hands I would do the run up to Ayr, from here it is only 12 hrs, but work, kids and life in general just dont allow such things. :-\

Dave,
I've just been reading the newsletter from the 750 Club & they've planned a ride on Sunday 25th of this month. It's leaving BP servo on exit 38 on the M1 @ 08:30 to go to Springbrook. Thatt's your neck of the woods.
I don't know if I can make it just yet. It's the only day off I have in 2 weeks. I'll try real hard to make it though. I can ring Des & find out where you might be able to link up with the ride if you like. Would be a good photo opportunity.
What do you think about this?
I have the first 4 days of April off, which means I can make it to the meeting for the 750 Club on the Sunday & take off for Marybourough on the Monday to hand over to Andrew (TrueBlue)
But that means we'll miss taking GZ to the swap meet & museum on Sunday 15th. Maybe we should keep him here for that?
It just means I'll have to do the run to Marybourough on the 21-22 of April.

Let me know what you think is best.

Andrew, will you be available for the handover somewhere over the weekend of 21-22 April? Maybe we can get some pics around Hervey Bay? Any whales still around?

Retro Mick, can you make it to Belmont on April Fools Day?

The weekend of the 21/22 would suit me better than the other dates, because I don't have my kids that weekend... The only whales you'll see around Hervey Bay this time of year are on the beach in a swimsuit, they won't be around for a couple of months yet, but a ride around the bay for some photos is a possibility.
