Have a great day with GZ fellas.
It's a perfect dry season sort of morning here in Darwin too at the moment after getting blasted yesterday arvo.
Blue skies and a light cool breeze now.

Sounds like it will be a good day on the bikes to show the lizard some of the countryside.

Godzilla has put his feet up after a day ride around the Gold Coast hinterland.
I met the local 750Four Club folks at Stapylton for a coffee & Dave was waiting for us at Mudgeeraba.

Dave conducted the hand over at the top of Springbrook, it's about as high up as you can get down there.

We all  headed back down the mountain & found a nice lil cafe for a break where the lizard tried real hard to share my late breakfast with Dave opposite.

Some of the bikes parked outside the cafe.

Hinze Dam on the way home.

The lizard will be going with me to the next meeting of the 750Four club to meet RetroRocket Mick on April Fool's Day, then off to a country swap meet on the 15th.
The weekend after, all being well, I'll be taking GZ up to meet Trueblue in Rocky oops Maryborough. I'm going to ask if any riders from the club want to join the ride.

Well it's the day after becoming the chaperone of Godzilla & just wanted to say "This is great."
I've been reading the logbook and I just love to hear what others have been through on the way to here.
Here's a map of the twists & turns on the way up to Springbrook, great ride, real fun  8)

btw, I incorrectly said I was going to Rockhampton to handover to Trueblue, but of course he's in Maryborough.

Great stuff Owen and Dave etc. Thanks for the great pics.
Yeh you sort of feel important for a few days when in the presence of the beast, sort of the "5mins of fame" haha.
Enjoy.

Well I woke Godzilla up today & took him for a ride to the monthly meeting of the local CB750/4 Club. I introduced the lizard to the members present with a quick story of his travels thus far. They were all impressed with the whole story & appreciated a quick read of the log book. They were happy to pose for a group photo & wished all participants well with the future of the rally.

Total GZ distance so far for me = 320 km. [200 miles]. It'll be more than triple that by the time I get home from Marybourough.

A sweet example of the bikes in the club.

Off to Haigslea Bike Museum in a fortnight for some photos & off to Marybourough 21/22 April for the handover.

Can't tell you how many times we commented that GZ1 was in Australia as we carried his twin brother "Lefty" through California.  Absolutely amazing how far he, the banner, and notebooks have traveled.  Ride safe...

I hope our friends in Australia get GZ posing with some of the Aussie Babes the place is so famous for. ;)

GZ is getting restless. He's been sitting still for too long. Will be giving him a trip this Sunday, then off to Marybourough the weekend after.
In the meantime, I took him to work today for a free lunch at the lead up to this year's Motorfest which will be held in July.
Catherine & Romy were pleased to meet GZ & were happy to pose with the banner. Just quietly I think the lizard was pleased to meet them as well, I sure was.  ;)
