Those will all get replaced with ones that wont leak
leaking is not good with this build

It's about time you cleaned up the work benchs  ;)
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Got my Bike lift yesterday so I don't have to bend over anymore

Its from a company called Greg Smith. They are all over the united States but
there just happened to be one around the corner from where I live.
I looked at the Handy lefts (What all the bike shops use) and just could see
spending aver a $1000.00 bucks on one
This one was $600.00 and a very good copy of a handy lift
It came with the wheel clamp, extension and ramp
its air operated and raises and lowers very smooth.
for the home shop its a good one.

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Got the cam timed yesterday (Thanks David) and will also do a custom wiring harness
next week
finally get the motor back in the frame and start hooking everything up

That motor is heavy................but its in and the turbo is all plumbed and bolted up
its a very tight fit but it fits with out anything binding or just barely fitting
I am gong to have a new and more compact wiring harness custom made in the next couple of weeks
so dont look at all of the wires hanging
that will all go away or some were else

moving right along know









The original exhaust clamps just would not fit besides that pipe was just a bitc!@#$ to get on
with out using the clamps so I am just going to use the T-bolt clamps that I have used on the intake side
little bits here and there but it should move along sense the cam is timed in
cant wait to here this thing and I hope I don't cook my left foot but that might not be so bad
just wrap it in a head blanket and go smoke some sport bikes

thats going to be such fun jim ,  maybe worth cutting that bottom section off the down pipe by your foot ,and either welding it back on rotated away from the foot ,or cutting a little wedge out of it and welding it back on pointing more downhill ? having burnt my leg on my 400/4 turbo with a pipe like that ,it loses its appeal fast lol.
just do it .

If its that fast that the key gets pulled out then I dont want to be on it............

I will see about the pipe once its on the road. Its out past my foot but not sure about highway speeds
it might need to be modified

Not sure about the color scheme is gong to be but would like something old school
that both complements the engine, turbo combo but also the Cafe style of the bike

any ideas????
I was thinking on keeping the red with an old school racing stripe going down the center of the fairing,tank and tail
section. keeping the side covers black but instead of the SOHC logos, I would put 836 and under that put Turbo

any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Better put the chain on now Jim. It looks like you will never get the sprocket cover past the dump pipe. ;)

You will need to coordinate your reds as mismatch will really look bad if you aren't careful.

How about the CBX scheme using red sides with silver top that complements the silver of the cylinders? Or a pinstripe outline on the red that uses that color silver. A gunmetal silver might look good with the bright red.
Sidecovers will look good that way...

There will be guys thinking you are on a cbx possibly.  Can't have that myth of misidentification...
Old Volvo 80s 242 turbos had a cool silver or black turbo badge on the rear deck lid. It is about 5-6 inches wide at least.
The font used was nice and solid feeling and the intercooled versions were fun to drive.

Mooshie's mint chocolate chip style paint job could look good with red/black/silver in the pallette of colors.

 personaly i'd go with black tank and seat , to balance out the black exhaust ,and emphasise the engine/turbo assembly ..no turbo badge at all , a original 750 badge on the side panels .. maybe add a red pin stripe if i found it too bland .
just do it .

 Yeah, no turbo badge, its pretty apparent anyway. I would paint it silver, so its a better sleeper..
