Those cheap ebay "Honda" watches..
« on: January 19, 2012, 04:17:19 PM »
You know the ones, the ones from Malaysia or Singapore.
Well here's my $15.00 Honda watch. :)
I needed something wear out in the shop so I didn't beat up the Breitling and this is perfect!
I'm pleased that it's so big.
It's just what it looks like, a cheap generic stainless watch with a printed face.
The seller claims it's got a Miyota movement. I haven't opened it yet, don't really care.
Anyway, we'll see how long it lasts.

Thanks!

Nope, the watch was $1.00 and shipping was $13.99. ;D

Did you miss the part where he paid $13.99 for shipping?  That makes it a $14.99 watch.  Still not expensive by any means, but also not $1.00. ;)

I purchased from this seller: "felda_cyber". He had good feedback on ~270 transactions.
I'm always skeptical when buying this kind of stuff from overseas but I figured I could risk $15.00.
It took about 14 days for the watch to arrive and the seller provided good communication.
(I notice this seller has no items up for sale at this moment.)

There's many other people selling these kind of watches on ebay.
I'm sure most of them are legit and they are all selling the same cheap watches but be careful!

No, no spare battery with one. Just the one that's in it.

Sometimes they combine shipping unless they are making money on the shipping and handling. If you could get ten watches delivered for $23.99 that would be a hell of a deal.

That was kind of the point.  Somebody selling watches for $1 with $14.00 for shipping is obviously making their money off the shipping charge, so I'm pretty sure this isn't one of the sellers who's going to combine shipping on multiple items.

I got this one off eBay over a year ago for my 500Four.  I mounted it on the bike.  Its hard to see so I've included a cropped close up that I image enhanced to see the face.  The Orange F has faded terribly in the sun as well as the Honda Wing.  I got mine for $.10 plus $13.99 shipping.

I bought a couple of them a year or two again, one was 1 cent and the other was 99 cents, they're both still working fine and keeping excellent time. Yeah, the shipping was 13 or 14 bucks, but put in perspective, so what? A pack of cigarettes costs that much here, so no biggie at all. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

There is a tree fiddy watch I've seen  same deal , dirt cheap with shipping exhorbatent. Like singlecoils and cheapie vidicams.

It's been a long time since I wore anything like jewelry, including a watch. And maybe   before that a safety pin for a few weeks ot less  in the early '80's.

But the cheapie videocam does timekeeping if you really want to know or care what time it is.

You don't know until you ASK!

mjstone I hope that watch is easily removed and replaced on your bike! Something tells me a $1 watch won't last long especially out in the weather.

Not to bad to get to.  Even with temps down to 1F, it still works.  If it dies, oh well!

Actually, sometimes you do.  But there's no harm in doing so. ;)
