unplugged wire

So I was cleaning my bike today and took of the left side cover and noticed there is one green wire that isn't connected to anything.  Is this normal?  I took a picture but can't seem to get it off my phone yet  :o

I haven't noticed the bike running weird and everything is working on it but i can't figure to what this wire is to.

If I recall yes there is a loose wire on the smaller bikes.

Actually, there a several loose connectors on the ground circuit (green wires are ground on the old SOHC fours) that were never connected to begin with. As long as everything works like it should, you're fine. Green is ground, so if something is not working make sure it has a good ground.

U.S. models used a two-prong flasher relay instead of a three-prong, grounded, relay, so the extra ground wire is unused.  It would have cost a lot more to manufacture separate wiring harnesses for the models going to various continents.
