Riders in NC Raleigh, Fayetteville area
« on: January 26, 2012, 06:35:33 AM »
Hey all. Just trying to connect with other Vintage bike riders and enthusiasts in my part of North Carolina. There's not a lot of us.  My good friend is assembling his complete rebuild of his 77 550 right now. I have have another friend with a 71 trumpet, and that's all I know.  Chromed out Harley's and their imitaters are the standard here.
I live in Fayetteville but make it to Raleigh on a regular basis, and out to the coast as well. Plus, I have a fairly complete garage so if your looking for a place to work on your bike, I have a man fridge in the garage full of beer and and lift for your bike. I make custom seats, and do fiberglass work as well.  I'm no mechanic pro, but I've problem solved a lot thanks to this forum.
I've been riding since I was a pup, and started with a 70's Honda 125. Since then I've owned a few different CBs and a Trumpet. My current bike was my first real project. When I was younger and dumber I rode them till they broke and zip ties and duck tape wouldn't work.
Drop me a line, look forward to connecting with motorcyclists with similar mind set. Would love to find a club of its out there.

Sweet. I think I'm going to head to the Do The Ton Triangle meet up. You should head out for that as well.

I live in Fayetteville (Hope Mills) . I've never ridden but am rebuilding a 76 400 four I inherited from my Uncle. Working on the carbs now, they're a bit of a mess.

I live closer to raleigh but work down at Bragg.  I see a lot of cb's down there on my way to work.  There is a junk-yard or tire place, or something, I thnk off of bragg blvd where I used to see 2 or 3 parked.

I know there are a bunch of CB750 chopper riders in NC. You might go to

http://hondachopper.com/     and check that site also, every year we have meet in June up at Riders Roost in Ferguson,NC.  If you join HC remember to be 69-78 CB750 specific with your post cause they can get picky and LOCK/DELETE your post.

SEE YA ON THE ROAD!!!
