I goofed!

I was cleaning up a very dirty 750A and the cleaner I used on the wheels turned the clearcoat milky. Anyway to fix that with out stripping the clearcoat off?

Usually once that kind of damage is done it is permanent until you completely strip it and refinish it.
You have to be careful sometimes with the cleaning methods used on certain parts.

Kong or another paint guru will weigh in eventually with definitive info, but I would try some buffing compound in the mean time.  Maybe all you need is to rub off the outer layer of clear...

OK... now what's the best striper to use on these wheels? Also, should I remove the tires?

Was it Bar Keeper's Friend that you used? It's a really great cleaner for all sorts of stuff but is hell on clears and paint cause of the abrasives in it.

No, it was an aluminum cleaner and I didn't rinse it good enough.

I'm wondering if you dulled the aluminum rather than a clear coat. There could be a lot of polishing in your future.
