So I ordered a new float needle, thinking it was OEM. Turned out to be Keyster and had the 'springy' issue people have mentioned that effects the float level.

I thought Parts N More had oem-turned out to be Keyster, too.

Is there somewhere that offers OEM or something that works?

Do you mean the pin the float pivots on or the valve that shuts the fuel off?

The last ones I got from CB750Supply were not Keyster, and worked decently. You might ask them what they have today. The "Made in Japan" ones we were getting last year came from the Daiichi region of Japan, which s where that tsunami wiped out so many things for a while.

Usually, the old ones can be sufficiently cleaned to work well, because the leaks they have are caused more often by the grit on the sides and edges of the valve making the valve drag and stick. I clean them with a razor blade (gently!) and I think I have only replaced 2 valves in the last 5 years or so, cleaning many sets of carbs in the process.

You can still get OEM. Part # 16011-KCK-910. I know as I sell parts for a living and just checked Honda's dealer website.

$15 ea from Honda for a K4, $23 for a CB400F and $38 for an XL350.  They're available, just priced all over the map.
