Swapping Heads, Is there a diff. with 77 to 78? cb750
« on: January 30, 2012, 01:26:46 PM »
So I bent some valves on my 78 cb750. I bought a 77 cb750 as a parts bike last year. Before I go swapping stuff over, does anyone know if it is a straight swap. I notice the valves look different, not in length just the "look" of them.

Rye.

They should be the same BUT... you have to measure things.
Use some vernier calipers.

How do you know you bent valves?
Did you roll the valve stem on a glass plate?

One was visible, however the piston appears to be fine. I have low compression in other cyclinders, therfore I will assume I have others that are bent as well.

Very helpful Link, the 77 parts bike is not a super sport, but get info here!

Thanks

Both bikes are 750K.

Sounds like everything should be A o.k then?
