Does anyone have any experience with Carpy's 4 into 1? Not the $900 one but the one with the new price of $300. Looks like a nice alternative to the MAC. This will go on a 76 750F.

If you are refering to the 4 into 2 into 1 header, I did buy one, and at first I had a problem mounting it, but there is a trick to it.
Get all of the flanges lined up vertical orientation.
Put some tape to protect the frame in the area of each exhaust port.

Start by getting the #1 cylinder into the cylinder head and on the studs first.
Work your way from right to left if facing the front of the engine.
You may have to pull on the exhaust tube on #4 to get it around the frame.
Make sure the flange is in correct alignment while doing that.

I think the extreme loudness in that video is from a crappy camera. If it's anything like my Yoshi rep from MotoGPwerks, it's Loud, but not stupid loud...loud in a good/race bike kinda loud. It's not something you want to fire up next to your neighbor's bedroom window at six am.

That is part of why I asked. My wife swears I wake her up in the mornings with the Two Brothers exhaust on the Triumph.

Hopefully these will still be around when I get to that stage of my build.

I do not have one, so do not know first hand.
$300 is a good price for it. He also has them for the 550.

No filter removal?? That's a problem for me. I like working on bikes as much as anyone but to remove the pipe to change the oil kind of sucks. Is this only true with the original set up? How about if you have converted to a spin on? I will definitely look at some of the remote ones.

You might wana look into what Motab has to offer. They are a Brit aftermarket pipe maker with a good reputation.

I exchanges a few forum posts with them over on a Goldwing forum. They are teaming with David Silver to set up a US distributor! AND, he's thinking of making 4-4 exhausts for the 550! Might Evan do a 4-4 to fit 750s if he sees the interest. Here is the thread.

Well that basically puts them off the list for me. What I don't understand is why would you manufacture a set of pipes and not facilitate the ability to remove the oil filter without removing the pipes. If that is hte case it is just plain stupid IMHO.

However, looking at this pic it appears that you might be able to remove the filter without pulling the pipes.

That is my thoughts exactly looks like you can remove the filter housing on the cb750. I emailed Carpy his website said it could take a couple days so I am waiting to see what he says. If you want a quicker answer I guess you could always call his number is on his website.

This may clear it up or make it worse. A true original Yoshimura pipe or Yoshi replica will not allow for filter removal or the use of the centerstand. On a racer these are throwaway issues. The pipe collects its headers dead center in front of the engine to allow for a close fitting racing fairing, which is a higher priority than filter removal.

On a Yoshi replica, well its going to be case by case as to how close it adheres to the original. Most "replicas" go on bikes without fairings and so splay the pipes enough to remove the filter. It would behoove someone buying a "replica" to find out how much of a true replica it really is.

Don't know about the center stand.

Not sure about Carpy's 550 pipe but my MotoGPwerks pipe requires the centerstand be removed. Luckily it is a two piece design, so I can remove the muffler pipe to fit the stand for rear wheel maintenance. Looks like the 750's pipe can have the filter removed, but that 550 pipe clearly can't.
