Hello all - My stepdad has been bitten by the old bike bug...He's been thinking about buying a Honda twin, a CB500T. Anyone here have any experience with them? He's also considering a CB450 or a CB350 (disc brake version).

Go with the 450. The 500 was a last-gasp effort to prolong the motor, but really it just made less power and vibrated more - so the conventional wisdom goes.
OTOH, he won't go wrong with a 350 either - lots of availability and good support.
