I just had to remove my forks for a head bearing so the brakes lines were empty. I filled the MC and just pulled the handle 1/8" or less and you see bubbles coming out the larger of the two holes in the MC. Once it starts sending fluid up, put on the cap, give the handle a few good pulls. Take off the cap and do the short handle pulls, and you see bubbles coming up again. In dew minutes you usually have a rock hard handle.  Got the tip from an old timer and it works.
