I taught pete to hop into a bag whenever we need to get on a subway or a train.  Now he jumps into any open bags.

Had a very great Dane weekend, went on a club walk yesterday with a dozen or so plus mine and the mini Wolfie, great fun seeing little dogs scatter before them and caught up with a couple of locals down at the lake this morning.
Such gentle and placid dogs ( except for the one yesterday that didn"'t walk, it bounced along regularly getting over a foot of air , hilarious but a bit scary for other creatures)
i blame Terry

We still miss Remy, our beloved Briard. He passed away 2 months ago. The sweetest dog you could imagine. Friends with everyone, not a mean bone in his body - no pun intended. He was 13 ½ years old. Proud age for a dog that size.

Lilly would be 12 or 13 years old now Brian.
She's almost totally blind and only has a few teeth left but she's a survivor.
Has no problems woofing into the tucker and always checks out Charlie's bowl for any left overs.
The nose still works ok.
She is a Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua cross and only attacks things that are bigger than her and then pisses off.
Her and Charlie are like the Bonnie and Clyde of the dog world.  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

We took sausage breath and dumbarse ( the great Dane and the Wolfie cross ) into the CBD for the annual great Dane Christmas lights walk on Friday.
Any other time it would take you maybe 15 minutes to cover the distance we took 2 hours to do
EVERYONE has to stop and have their picture taken with the twenty or so Danes and ask the same questions every time ( how old are they, do they get any bigger, how much do they eat, have you got saddles for them etc ) no-one ever seems to ask how big their dumps are though.
Both dogs loved the attention though, even the Dane who can be quite shy
It was also amusing watching them sniff every other dogs arse twenty times then licking kids faces
i blame Terry

I reckon that Charlie will be 12 in March Dave.
He's getting a bit of muzzle grey now but he's going good.
He had to go to the doggy dentist a few weeks ago and get a few bad teeth removed and he's a lot happier now and put a bit of weight back on.
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.
