My buddy Max 2.0 (we got him as a rescue and his name was the same as our previous Choc. Lab!}. He had two bouts of the big “C” . Beat the first one, three years ago, but last Fall he lost round two. My wife is out looking for a replacement, but I’m not so sure. i’ve had 6 dogs in my life and they were all great. This guy was so outstanding, he’ll be tough to match.

At least he looks like he is built for the job. You might want to give him a break so he can "rest up"!

Agreed! Apparently the entire litter had “B” names. “Brin” seems easier and she gets it.

We’re feeling pretty lucky too. Spent most of the day on the Coburg Beach, watching my g’son play in huge beach volleyball tournament. Dog was great, loved all the people and other dogs.

It's funny some of the things that creep them out. I was walking our Lab a few nights ago and there was an orange road cone on the side of the path. She took a very cautious pose and her hackles were up, that cracked me up.

We are his Forth home, things weren’t looking good for him…got him right before he turned 1….he just turned 2….Tasmania devil for sure…sweet as can be and loves all good people…can lap the family room 18/36 without putting a paw on the floor 🤪😇.

He’s trained a little better now…I try to take him everywhere I can. He’s a hit at little league baseball and granddaughter’s soft ball games.. Love’s to go to dog friendly stores…doesn’t really care for strange dogs but will literally wear out  his buddy dogs playing..

Had two male litter mate German Shepherds. Maximus 107# and Titus Aurelius 127# both very tall for their breed.  They’ve both crossed over the loyalty bridge…

He’s a lot different than a shepherd but he’s a lot alike one too…Smart as can be and can read your mind before you think it.. Loves everyone in the family unconditionally…😇 even the ones with smelly diapers….😁

We're dog sitting our kids golden retriever while they watch college softball tryouts in Chicago tomorrow. He's a couple months older than last time, that stayover convinced me I didn't want another puppy. Not so bad now.

Don…. My son’s puppy cured us of that in a week too! This new one is +3 and that seems sensible.

“Brinley” has now been with us three weeks, to the day. The woman that gave her up came for a final visit Wednesday. I thought that was a TERRIBLE idea, but since she gave us a ton of stuff with the dog (and the dog was free), my wife felt it was impossible to say “NO”.

Showed up in a new, white Mercedes SUV and made all the usual teary noises. She brought more gifts and “treats”. The dog was happy to see her, and she stayed too long. When she finally headed out, I was standing in the open doors of our garage. My wife and Brinley walked her to the car. As the lady opened her car door, the dog scampered up the driveway to come and sit next to me. Watched the car leave and never budged…….

She is one fantastic beast and apparently she likes the farm as much as we do! We took her to the vet today, for a full check up. She is 100% healthy.
All is good.
