Thanks, Mooshie. Let's check in again as it get's closer.
Did you both see that once again a tour of APE is possible, and MAYBE even track time at Willow Springs? 8)

Anyone wanna do a pre-zilla ride Sunday? Me and Joe (yellow cb400f from last years ride) are leaving from Pacifica, hopefully before noon, and heading south for some peg scraping and food/beer at Alices' or Applejacks or something.
So much to do, so little time.

Yes I did see that and that Pat was also planning on coming along on the ride to JT.  Maybe this time around (if it comes to pass) I can go faster... :o

Sorry I'm late!  Man you guys are way too on the ball.  I need a reason to rebuild the 350f, and the rally seems like a good way to push it over the edge :D  If I can get it running right I'll ride as far toward TX as possible.  TX to AZ right?

Nothing is chiseled in stone. It's totally up to the riders doing that part of the ride. There has been a mention of taking a southern route, and Duncan.

PS You are rider # 106 on the official rider list. 8)

Im good to go up toward payson or out thru Duncan, or wherever needed.  Preferably this side of town though.  I do about 250 mi a day in phoenix traffic in my truck already.  Workin on the bike today.  Was fighting a bad dyna, now jetting from co to az, we'll see what other issues want to crop up.

We're looking around the 20th of next month?

The current plan is for myself and whoever rides along to Joshua Tree to return to AZ on 3-26. If someone in your area can meet us at I-17 and 74 (Carefree Hwy) that afternoon, we can do the hand-off, and you guys can head east the next day, 3-27.
What side of town are you on?

I'm in East Mesa, almost Apache Junction, where the 202 meets up wth the 60.

Thats about 100 mile round trip from here.  I can try to keep my schedule clear for that time.  I set my own appointments, so should be able to unless things get hectic.

Bike is running well again   Took it for a quick burn out on the 202, but need to register, i don't think it will pass emissions.  Stupid Maricopa County!

Maybe we can get some else to pick up GZ from me; maybe someone that can't go a long distance? They could still provide a vital link.
If your bike is still on the lean side, maybe it will pass emissions??? (glad Yavapai Co. doesn't do testing  8))

Shen checked in with me a couple of days ago..
BTW, I've been trying to keep a Team West rider's list updated on post #2 of this thread, so it's readily available for reference. I think I'll modify Post #1 for a schedule...

Got an update to help get Godzilla to Texas.  Let's find a way to get Godzilla to our Albuquere rider at a handoff point somewhere.  I have a maybe from Greg taking a handoff in Santa Fe, NM and riding to meet me in Tucumcari, NM.  Nothing is in stone, but I think we are getting closer.

I would imagine there are the usual holdups like "i can't ride till Sat or Sun" too?  Honestly, I'd rather ride over the weekend too, that way my wife can ride her bike too.  She doesn't get the luxury of riding during the week due to the grad scool time sucking black hole of doom and dread.

But!  Thats not to say I won't throw a leg over when its my leg of the relay!   ;D

Is there no one down in the southwest part of NM, if we come thru Duncan or any Southerly route from AZ, somethin like Silver City or Demming would be good options.  Getting from Mesa to Santa fe or ABQ is about a 900 mi round trip.  Don't think I can take a day off midweek and make that run in a day on a 350f.   :o

Heff, Santa Fe isn't official, but we have Angeldeville in Albq. committed.  Heff, pm Angeldeville and you guys work out a handoff point.  Then it is up to me to work out a handoff with Angeldeville or Greg in Santa Fe if Angeldeville hands off to him.

Justin, in Texas

Hopefully angel will check in here to discuss with the gang... We still got some time, but its chugging along as usual.

So, am I the only one headin toward NM?  I figured Shenanigans would be all over it, actually, I figured he'd just do the whole damn relay himself :D
