GZ 2.0 is on the move! His bags are packed, next stop Oakland, CA, where he will hook up with lead-off rider geminimotors!

Here's a preflight photo-op, ready to go:

and here GZ 2.0 shares a tender moment with his bro before heading out:

Hey Bluto...thanks for posting.  Barber is on the bucket list, but unfortunately not this year for me.

Most likely, it will be Spike from MS handing off to you in East MS or west AL?
Spike - how far east will you be able to go? Ever been to Barber?

Thanks guys.

I have wanted to see barber for a while so i think we can swing it, im not going to be able to do the Austin ride tho. but here is what i can do, if you can make it work. i will be in Dallas on the 21st and can get Godzilla and head east, i am going to be checking out Caddo Lake which is one of my bucket list spots to see, and probably camp there weather permitting  that night, and can cut up into AR, or continue east through la, to ms, probably will hit the Natchez trace to 82 in Mathiston just outside Starkville and ride through to Tuscaloosa and catch 20 up to Birmingham to meet at Barbers on the 23rd which is a Monday or i can bring it to Barbers the following weekend on the 28th if people have to work. I missed barbers last year because of all the storms. pm me for my cell if its easier.

Hi j4hfr34k,

I'm liking that Barber on the 28th plan.  I haven't had much time to "talk it up" with the Atlanta gang.....But, I think Saturday would have a better shot.  That is one helluva haul you got planned there....If you've never seen that Barber museum......it's worth the ride.  Plan on spending a day there.

I'll pm ya my cell and we can talk it through.

We are going to need some help in West Texas.  Last year Just jad to cart him from Lubbock all the way to the other side of NM.  And it was just Tom and me from Austin to Lamesa (near Lubbock).    Oh,  and we had no one from Oklahoma.  The Arkansas guys brought it through OK down to the OK/TX border.

Oh, and since this seems to be rolling through Texas the last 2 weeks of tax season, I may be hosed.  Maybe I can do the last week.  Working in finance sucks during April.

We've got a couple of Oklahoma members on the rider list, I'll reach out to them and see if we can get some help through Oklahoma.  ???

Instead of meeting in dallas, could the people from  ok meet in texarkana the weekend of the 21st. I can bring it from ar thru la back to ms and meet at barbers on the 28th. id much rather make it to barbers since i missed it last year. I also plan on bringing gz to red bluff "mississippi's little grand canyon"  outside columbia ms,

Oh, and since this seems to be rolling through Texas the last 2 weeks of tax season, I may be hosed.  Maybe I can do the last week.  Working in finance sucks during April.

Hate to say this, but we don't have a NM rider.  Last resort, zilla gets shipped to Justin, unless we get a volunteer. We're running a little looser this year, not a relay, more emphasis on fun.

Joe - was hoping you could make it back to Austin for the camp night. The Hill Country ride will be on the weekend this year, I got hosed last year when it rolled through mid week (and I was in the middle of a big project).
The camp night by the lake was a good time.

Coke here,  I should be able to do something again this year.  I can probably get to Dallas or Dennison again and go up through OK then cross into AR and maybe follow along the the southern part of AR then hook back into LA to meet up with j4hfr34k

Hey Coke...thanks for posting up!  We don't have set dates yet, but you going to Dallas makes sense.

Spike -  could we make this work with what you had in mind?

Thanks guys.

Is this after Dallas? If yes, I'd like to hear from the Dallas guys before you set dates in stone. Thx

So, it is going to LA after TX rather than OK according to the map.  So why not bring it through Lubbock, to Dallas first, then down to Austin,  Hill country ride, then over to Houston  and over to LA and up to MS...  Thoughts?

Madmt has asked that we clip OK when near Dallas, if possible.
The map that he proposed is just a general reference to use as a guide, you guys set the route for what works for you. No Dallas riders chimed in til now, and I have not heard back from Justin yet, but he has signed on.
I like your route Joe, will ask Justin if he won't mind riding to DFW, and then Austin, if he is up to it. He could have GZ by March 31st, so maybe be in Dallas by April 5th.  Dallas rides down to Austin on April 6th, Hill Country ride on April 7&8th? (Sat/Sun)

Joe, this should be better for you, right?  Other Texas riders, please post feedback. Thx

Yes,  looks better for me.   ;D  I like the 6th - 8th ish.  Just a heads up,  that is Easter weekend.  i personally have no problem with that, but some might.  I think God would want us to enjoy the nature that he created, by riding motorcycles through the hill country!
