Hello everyone! Am looking forward to the ride again this year. CB GHIA remember me? Was pulling the trailer and loaded up me and Coke to run back to OKLA and ARK. Oklahoma was represented. Coke,Radam & I came thru okla with me carrying our 2011 mascot. Looking forward to this year!

Sorry Taxi, I thought you were out of Arkansas, as well.  Glad to see you are back again!

Taxi,

we are going at this backwards this year and it looks like from TX it goes along the coast to LA then MS then AL.  then north up through TN (maybe KY and though lower IL) then over to AR ??? MO???? I am waiting to find out more about where it is going to find out where I need to go to bring it down to AR.. then over to you.

glad to see you.

Good to hear from you to Coke. Will watch the boards and check in with you from time to time until we get this route set. Heard from Radam recently and he said he was headed to Australia. Will miss him on the run.

I want to do the hill country ride!  It is 130 less miles for me if I come straight to Austin with Godzilla, rather than go to Dallas then to  Austin.  Can I go straight to Austin, guys?  My total miles would change from approximately 980 to 848.  I could be at Austin, no problem for the April 6th-7th arrival of the Dallas/Houston guys.

Hell, we can just have the whole of Texas meet up in Austin on the 6th and ride like crazy bastards for a few days.  I don't need to hold Godzilla in Ft Worth, we had quite a while together last year.  I just want to ride the hills!

DO a final clean on parts today.
Straighten up the shop and give it a deep cleaning.
Start reassembly tomorrow and barring any glitches, plan on kicking it over in a week to 10 days :)
That should give me time to shake her out before the southwest leg of the tour! ;D ;D ;D ;D
SO, the plan is the 750.

Thanks for asking.

Don't know what the final route will be. But, just spent 3 days at Enchanted Rock SP. Lot's of rain and about 3 weeks from bluebonnet time. Looks like the wildflower crop will be a going good when we travel thru central Texas.
Here's a few pics

A route has not been set yet for the Hill Country Ride, suggestions are welcome.
Fredericksburg could be a good lunch/break destination, not far from Enchanted Rock.
The Highland Lakes area offer great roads not to be missed.

Hey Taxi,

It appears that we are going to need to look at dates from the guys from TN, Where I will pick it up, I don't know how accurate the map is but it looks like I should be getting GZ around May 5 and then have it over to you in OK around the 12th  I like the idea that I don't have to rush, especially if I need to take in MO.  I didn't notice ANY MO riders on the sign up list.  I could run up north a bit and take in some of MO.

I was thinking if they bring GZ to Memphis, I would head across to Little Rock/Conway and spend the night, then head up to Branson and take a few pictures of GZ touring the 76 strip, and the remnants of the tornado damage, then head back to AR and stay with a friend in Green Forest if I am running later in the evening.  then back home to Van Buren by way of  Eureka Springs and Fayetteville so I can take some shots of GZ in the HOG country.  I noticed that there was a rider from OKC this time that was going to try and make the rally.  don't know where you both will want to meet up or how, but we can work on the date/time as it gets closer.

Sounds good Coke. Maybe our OKC rider will chime in and we can do some plottin'.
Was working on my yard tractor yesterday, and bringing it back in the garage I hooked one of my mirrors on the 750 and busted it. Was an original correct Honda mirror too. Damn.  Looking forward to seeing you again this year.

Hi, all!  I am trying to set my plans to pickup Godzilla out in Santa Rosa, NM from the NM riders.  Before everything gets set in stone, I need to know when Godzilla needs to be in Austin.  Evening Fri. April 6th or Sat. morning April 7th?  I am waiting to set my NM plans until I know about Austin.

Yes, Friday evening April 6th will be fine, see ya in Austin!  NM is not quite set yet, though it is looking like I might be getting the handoff in Santa Rosa, Monday April 2.  I probably will head home to Littlefield (near Lubbock) and rest for one day.  At the latest, I will leave to go to Austin on Wed. morning April 11th.

I posted this note with the Team South guys and wanted to make sure I'm covering my bases if there are other thoughts out there....

>>Cody, sorry for your family loss and that you won't make the tour this year. Can you hook me up with anyone from your area who could make the Lafayette connection with me on Sunday April 15th? I'm still planning on making the run from Houston to La., unless there's a better plan from the group. Thanks.<<

At this moment, I still plan on picking up GZ on Saturday in Houston and riding into Lafayette, La. on Sunday April 15th.
