Just wondering, is Gordon and his k1 750 going to make it this year to Austin?
Wished it would of landed on another weekend also.
A small group of us from Houston will make the ride to Austin on Friday and meet up with everyone for riding, camping and general debauchery. My CB is still in pieces, so I'll be riding a back-up. Just don't hold it against me Then on the 14th, I am happy to host the party at my shop space. I'll make sure there's plenty to eat, drink and be merry. Lots of folks will be invited, so it'll be a good time for all. Some of us plan to accompany Gnik Nus as he heads for Lousisiana, at least part of the way.Does it make it any better to have our get-together on Fridayevening, the 13th? My only thought is that would make Saturday, the 14th, available for heading east.
A Friday night get together would sure be better for me. My route to Lafayette on Sunday (maybe a Saturday afternoon start?) at 220 miles or so, might make a later Sunday arrival there than what was originally discussed. I'm trying to stay flexible and not create a burden on my Louisiana contact (Hope) or my myself! My plan was to take Baytown to Anahuac and the southern/easterly route through Sabine Pass, Cameron, Abbeville then Lafayette. My plans were to depart Houston EARLY Sunday am. I'm riding my CB400F and do not plan to "push" the speeds as I'm still sorting out a few issues on the bike. Route shows two ferry crossings and small roads so it is generally slow going. Can expect live and dead (road kill) alligator obstacles next to the water ways! A scenic ride that I've taken in the past. My wife was planning on meeting me in Lake Charles for a nite or two at the casinos on the way home, after dropping off GZ. Other riders welcome part or all of the way.
it is a shame you won't make it G-Man. We will certainly have a few beers for you. I can't wait to get down there!

At least a couple of us will join you, if you're alright it, for part of your ride. We've been wanting to do a south coast ride into gator country, so I'll credit serendipity with your route planning.
Woody - can you make the Hill Country Ride this weekend? You're in Hou,right??
Architect, Thanks for the note and update for Friday night. I'll be watching for time and location details. As for the ride to Louisiana, the more the merrier. It's a real nice ride through Sabine Pass and along the La. gulf coast. You'll enjoy it. I've communicated to Hope that I'll arrive Lafayette around 2 PM to allow time for a bit more of a leisurely 220 mile ride. He has a cajun restaurant all lined up that sounds like fun and of course the food will be fantastic, knowing that I'm likely to be a solo rider at that time. Woody
Joe/Rick - I'm cutting out of work early on Friday, if you guys get down here by late afternoon, we could head to west Austin and possibly meet up with the Houston riders. I'd like to show you guys Lime Creek Road, it is an awesome road to ride that runs through the hills along Lake Travis.
cool I just facebooky invited all my friends, trippy you already knew Groovehouse the skate photo guy, he cool dude.

This was folks will know where to go, depending on what time they roll in. I think the Houston group can be there by 3 or 4pm. If we need to aim earlier, that shouldn't be a problem, either. Hey, Joe -- What time are you thinking you'll hit Austin?
