Nominate for Bike Of The Month - March 2012
« on: February 03, 2012, 09:52:17 pm »
It's Nominatin' Time!

February 2012 BOTM Voting Threadhttp://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=101060.0

Congratulations Owned for being the February 2012 BOTM winner!

I will let this run until about 2/15/12 and then start the voting thread.

Please Nominate, Second and Accept using those words.  It makes it easier for me to setup the voting threads.  It gets cryptic at times.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Yes, my K4 was last winters project and is running fine. Just an honor to even be considered and thank you Ray for the nomination. That is your front fender on there I believe.  ;)  A 2nd is still needed for the nomination. Here are a couple pics. You will need to click to enlarge them.

Here are a few more pics. Keep in mind this K4 has original paint. Top of the tank has faded a little, but the tank itself and decals were perfect. No dents or scratches and just a really cool original piece which I plan to keep that way. I did all the chrome over by a plater near me. I polished the forks and engine covers to remove oxidation, etc. The motor is original and has not been broke into and runs great. Installed tapered in the steering head and put some OEM bars back on as the PO had risers. Wish I could get the pics larger, but you will have to click on it to enlarge it. This will be an uphill race as this K4 battles with those beautiful cafes in the running. And I am not embarassed to say you cafe guys sure put a lot more into yours than I did here...so may I say my hat is off to you all. Very nice...

FYI, no paint here -- they're anodized lightweight aluminum supermoto rims made by Buchanan.

Geez Sammy, when you started riding motorcycles, they ALL had painted rims! :D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
